How often do you grill in the Summer? Our family grills at least 3 times a week - and sometimes, we grill every single day! Honeysuckle White® (and Shady Brook Farms® - its the same brand, just a different name depending on what part of the country you live) turkey have something for everyone and with all of the BBQ favorites - from turkey brats and sausages, turkey tenderloins and fresh ground turkey for burgers to a new line of frozen turkey burgers - you can wow your guests with the delicious taste of turkey this Summer!

It's also a more healthful option when compared to other proteins. It offers more protein than beef, fewer calories than chicken and less fat than pork. Go ahead and enjoy a more healthful BBQ without skimping on flavor.

At our last BBQ, we made some of the Honeysuckle White® Savory Seasoned Turkey Burgers. These are easy to prepare, bursting with flavor, and can go from freezer to table in 20 minutes. There are six varieties to choose from, including Savory Seasoned, Ready to Season, Cheddar Jalapeño, and Swiss, Bacon & Onion. They taste great hot out of the skillet or off the grill. The new turkey burgers are gluten-free burger patties and are approved by the USDA as a good source of protein. In fact, they have more protein and fewer calories than beef, pork and chicken. They also contain 58%-76% less fat than regular ground beef.

Printable recipe
Yield: 8 servings

1 pkg. (32 oz.) Honeysuckle White® Savory Seasoned Turkey Burgers
4 tbsp. butter
1 pkg. (16 oz.) mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp. soy sauce
8 slices Swiss cheese
8 hamburger buns, toasted (if desired)
Condiments, optional

Cook turkey burgers according to package directions.

Meanwhile, melt butter in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms, garlic and soy sauce. Cook and stir until the mushrooms are lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender.

To assemble the turkey burgers: Place one turkey burger on the bottom portion of each bun. Top with a slice of cheese. Spoon some of the mushrooms over the top. Replace the top portion of the bun and serve immediately. Serve turkey burgers with your favorite condiments.

*NOTE: When cooking, please ensure that the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

Take your taste buds South of the border with this Tijuana Burger! This summer, just in time for the 4th of July holiday, Best Foods [aka - Hellmann’s] is staging a “Burgervention,” putting an end to dry burgers across America. #burgervention #beef #Southwest #grilling

I'm sure y'all have figured out by now that I really dig the flavors of the Southwest. I feel so blessed to live in Phoenix - obviously, I am surrounded by great Southwest/Mexican food! Seriously, it's Mexican foodie heaven! :) Since we're just getting into Summer and grilling season, I wanted to create a new burger for my family that was far from boring, and had lots of great Southwest flavor!

I remember my mom using Best Foods mayonnaise (West of the Rockies ... Hellmann's East of the Rockies) in her burgers sometimes with other seasonings, and her burgers were always so moist and flavorful! They were the best ever juicy burger! You just mix the mayonnaise right into the ground beef before placing the patties on the grill, locking in flavor and moisture!  I wanted to incorporate that idea with this burger. It was a total success! The mildly spiced burger paired well with the pinto beans, guacamole and cabbage. I know, I know .... not your typical burger toppings - but I promise you, this is goooood!! I felt like I was eating a gourmet burger at some fancy restaurant! My family agreed that this Tijuana Burger had to go into our grilling rotation!

Tijuana Burger
Printable recipe
Yield: 6 burgers

For the burger patties:
2 lb. (80/20) ground beef
½ cup Best Foods real mayonnaise
½ cup plain dry bread crumbs
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. chili powder
½ tsp. paprika
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. vegetable oil

For the sandwich:
1 can (15 oz.) pinto beans, rinsed
3 tbsp. prepared salsa
1 tbsp. chopped pickled jalapeño
½ tsp. ground cumin
Prepared Guacamole (click link to see my homemade version)
1½ cup shredded cabbage
6 cornmeal dusted hamburger buns (or your favorite hamburger bun!)

Preheat a gas grill over high heat or a charcoal grill until it glows bright orange and ashes over.

While the grill preheats, place the pinto beans in a medium microwave safe bowl and mash slightly. Add the salsa, pickled jalapeño and cumin. Mix well. Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Best Foods mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, bread crumbs, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt and pepper until well mixed. Divide and shape the ground beef into 6 patties. Brush the burgers lightly with oil.

Grill the burgers until browned and slightly charred on the first side (about 3-4 minutes). Flip the burgers over and continue to cook until desired doneness - about 4 minutes for medium rare, longer for a more done burger.

Microwave the beans (covered but vented) on HIGH heat for 30-60 seconds or until heated through.

To assemble the burger, place the bean mixture on the cut side of the bottom bun. Top with a burger patty. Top with cabbage. On the cut side of the top bun, spread with guacamole. Replace the top bun over the cabbage. Serve!

We served these Tijuana Burgers up with French Fries for the perfect Summer meal. You can make an easy Fry Sauce by mixing up 2 parts Best Foods mayonnaise with one part ketchup! It makes me hungry just thinking about it .... I know we'll be having this meal again soon!

I don't have a long post for y'all today .... but what I do have is one super yummy burger!! I have been craving some Southwest-inspired flavors, but not necessarily Mexican food. If that makes sense?! This burger really hit the spot! We served this with chips and salsa, with fresh fruit on the side for an easy and fuss-free weeknight meal! Enjoy!

Southwest Cheeseburger
Printable recipe
Yield: 4 burgers

1½ lb. ground beef
Salt and pepper, to taste
1½ tbsp. oil
½ cup salsa
½ cup homemade guacamole
4 slices Pepper Jack cheese
4 good-quality hamburger buns

Preheat a gas grill over high heat or a charcoal grill until it glows bright orange and ashes over.

Divide and shape the ground beef into 4 patties. Season the burgers with salt and pepper. Brush the burgers with oil. Grill the burgers until browned and slightly charred on the first side (about 3-4 minutes). Flip the burgers over and continue to cook until desired doneness - about 4 minutes for medium rare, longer for a more done burger.

To assemble the sandwich, place 2 tbsp. of salsa on one cut half of each sandwich (I prefer it on the top half). Place 2 tbsp. of guacamole on the other cut half of each sandwich (I prefer this on the bottom). Top the bottom bun with a hamburger patty. Top with cheese, then the top bun.
